I love making and sharing loaves of bread. So many hands are involved in the making of bread, beginning with the sowing and nourishing of the seed and soil. It is a symbol of hospitality, fellowship, sharing, patience.

We speak of the breaking of bread with family and friends and share meals with them. Christ’s Word is bread for us - we study, learn, are hungry for and "eat up" his words. Communion bread remembers Jesus’ body broken for us.
