The focus of this work is the text from Matthew 5:16, part of the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus is teaching the crowds; they just heard the beatitudes and this section tells about being salt and light.

The rays in the design are verses pertaining to light. Drama and contrast are achieved by working on black with lots of white pigment in the color.
