Title: Bega Kwa Bega Banner

Occasion: Dave and Karen Dudley, organizers of our mission trips to Tanzania, conceived this idea to present to Roseville Lutheran's companion congregation in Ng'ang'ange.
As companion churches, Ng'ang'anga and Roseville Lutheran are indeed are two churches praying together, as the Swahili translation indicates. The translation of Bega Kwa Bega is shoulder to shoulder.

Year: The original banner was taken to Tanzania August 6, 2011. Smaller canvas prints were made to distribute to each of the preaching points there.

Artists: Judy Dodds contributed the letter design. Beth Groebe contributed her quilting skills and sewed the entire banner. Sharon Boyce sewed hems on these canvas prints which gave stability to the edges and a sleeve for hanging.
